We believe that in this time of difficulty for the whole world we can demonstrate that design brings people together even when you have to be far apart. This is the reason why we created this competition, we want to bring together the people who are in quarantine and all the creatives of the world under the sign of creativity.

For the first time ever, TUC.technology organizes an international design competition aimed at re-imagining how life on board of vehicles can be improved thanks to TUC modular and plug&play technology.

The contest is open to professionals, students, design enthusiasts, inventors and creative people who feel they can propose innovative ideas. Participants from all over the world can present themselves individually or in groups. The Contest is open only to people who have reached the age of majority in their jurisdiction of residence.

The question participants will have to answer is:

DETAILS OF THE CONTEST:

1) THEME: 

RE-IMAGINE THE LIFE ON BOARD OF VEHICLES THANKS TO THE MODULAR AND PLUG&PLAY TUC.technology. CREATE A COMPONENT WICH CAN IMPROVE THE FUTURE LIFE ON-BOARD OF VEHICLES.

2) BACKGROUND: 

TUC.technology has patented a communication system between the control units and the components of the vehicle interior such as dashboard, seats, and many more. This includes an innovative concept of connection between the components and the vehicle itself through the TUC connector, namely the mobility USB. The ability of the connector is to structurally fix a component, connect it to the power supply and provide data connection.

Thus, TUC technology allows to customize the vehicle by integrating various types of components and making the experience of mobility tailored to each user. This feature transforms the concept of the vehicle from defined to definable. Hence the user can finally conceive the vehicle as a space to be inhabited and furnished based on is needs.

We expect to receive projects /ideas of component in order to illustrate the component you have imagined. TUC has already developed devices such as seats, displays and coffee machines in collaboration with our partners. These are example of some components but there are many possibilities which can be realized.

3) PRIZE: 

The Winner will receive the “TUC Award”, a unique opportunity to create the Virtual development of the project with the TUC Team, a project presentation during the TUC.technology World Premiere and finally the showcase at the NATIONAL AUTOMOBILE MUSEUM IN TURIN.

5) SUBMISSION DEADLINE:

The project must be submitted before 23:59 (CET) on 30 MAY 2020. Project submitted after the time are not taken into consideration.

A) How many image files can I send? Images and text must be in digital format in a single .pdf file (Slide, PowerPoint, keynote) to be exported in .pdf (MAX of 7Mb). The delivery of physical material will NOT be accepted. The voluntary addition of a maximum of 2 videos must be uploaded in Vimeo or YouTube format, therefore, the link of each video must be pasted in the submission email, please the video is not mandatory.

B) Explanation: Provide a brief description of your design highlighting the main features, the text can be sent in English or Italian.

*The project cannot use watermarks or artist signatures. The work presented must be an original work by the participant himself. With the exception of public domain materials, each Presentation, in its entirety, must be a single work of original material created by the Participant or for which the Participant has all the rights required to comply with these Official Regulations. The work must not be offensive, defamatory, harmful, vulgar, excessively violent and racial, ethnic or otherwise questionable. It is important to keep your projects confidential until the results of the competition are published.
